Scientific entertainment at Liryc
Beyond the training programmes it offers, Liryc is committed to offering sustained scientific entertainment to transmit knowledge in a spirit of openness, to share details of projects, areas of research and advances, but also and above all to promote dialogue between teams and to decompartmentalize research.
A place conducive to scientific entertainment
Liryc is an attractive and stimulating environment in which international scientists with different specialities and skills exchange. Throughout the year, Liryc organizes scientific seminars, workshops and conferences to entertain the scientific community.
- The international scientific workshop, every two years, enables a review of the institute’s scientific projects between the experts and Liryc’s multidisciplinary teams, in the presence of the members of the International Scientific Council. The aim is to share and enrich research projects and to advance knowledge of heart rhythm disorders.
- Held every two months, the university hospital institute breakfast enables discussions about new projects, scientific advances or projects that are coming to an end. It is also an opportunity to share information about the institute and the platforms in a more informal and friendly way over a coffee.
- The Liryc Journal Club and the Imaging Journal Club promote critical discussion of major scientific articles in the field, once a month.
- Meet & Greet sessions enable new employees of the institute to present their research work.
- The Liryc Expert Seminar mobilizes international experts on a multidisciplinary continuing education programme.
- Other one-off workshops or presentations of doctoral/post-doctoral projects make it possible to combine times for scientific exchanges and informal meetings to create links between teams, throughout the year.
Congresses and conferences
The Liryc institute teams participate in numerous conferences, events, congresses and participatory projects promoting the sharing of knowledge between peers, both nationally and internationally.
They also take part in the organization of several scientific events related to the disciplines of cardiac electrophysiology:
- The “Alliance Bordeaux Programme” conference on new treatment techniques, co-organized with the manufacturer Boston Scientific. The event brings together more than 300 professionals in hybrid format at Liryc each year, looking at live cases and presentations promoting interaction with internationally renowned experts on the various innovative treatment options for atrial and ventricular fibrillation. > https://www.bostonscientific.com/en-EU/medical-specialties/electrophysiology/arrhythmias/alliance-bordeaux.html
- The ISCAT Symposium brings together professionals in the ablation of atrial fibrillation and the ablation of ventricular arrhythmias every two years > https://www.iscat.net/
- Together VT is a scientific and educational event aimed at covering the diagnosis, prognosis, mechanistic and therapeutic aspects of ventricular arrhythmias. > https://togethervt.com/
